Black Cat Original Oil Painting by Diane Irvine Armitage

Another painting of my favorite model the squishy Tishy.  This is a little painting for a change, 8 x 8 inches.  I have a box of black plein air frames that are 8 x 8 inches so I thought I would paint up some black cat paintings to fit them for the October art show.

Last night I was thinking that it would be fun to paint a black cat against a red background, so that is today's painting.  I love the red with the black!  Very striking.  This painting is 10 by 8 inches on archival canvas board.

Black Cat and Siamese Cat Original Oil Paintings - Blue Eyes

Today's cats both have blue eyes.  I tried to really loosen up today and I like the result, but I think I can get even looser with these small paintings.  Both are in oils, 7 by 5 inches on archival gessoboard.
